This site is reported to be the biggest in Spain. It extends back from the sea for at least a kilometre. With that said it is a great site. There are some very busy areas which are great if you want to people watch and some very quiet areas if that is what you are looking for . The facilities at this site are superb. It has a private palm tree covered beach on the Mar Menor. On the beach is a bar restaurant which offers all day food including a great range of Tapas. In the evening there is entertainment in high season. There is another bar/restaurant in the centre of the site that also does take away pizza. The full size supermarket will cater for most of your food needs as well as papers and magazines. Six tennis courts are located near the large outdoor pool, with a children’s fun fare set up on summer evenings. The bathrooms are plentiful and are constantly cleaned. Due to the size of the site a push bike is a good idea for those who want to get around. Although we don’t normally go for massive commercial sites this is an exception. The majority of the people who stay here are Spanish and for those who enjoy the Spanish culture and way of life this is an ideal location to pass some time.
Take a trip down the La Manga strip a 15km strip of land that separates the Mar Menor from the Med. Shops , bars, hotels, restaurants and beaches abound in this area. There is golf a plenty with many courses including the very famous La Manga club. There really is so much to do for families and us oldies in this area you should definately add this one to the bucket list.
