Camping Le Rochat,
This is a great site located near the heart of the city. Large grassy pitches with marked boundaries offer an excellent place to stay. The site is next to a large leisure lake. We visited in late October and there wasn’t much happening around the lake. However there is a large bar/restaurant that offers food and drink both inside and on the terrace. On Sunday afternoons they have entertainment. While we were there, there was a live band on playing hits from the last five decades.
The owner, who speaks good English is happy to tell you about the forna on the site which includes Giant Sequoia and Maple trees. He also pointed us toward the Botanical Gardens in town, which he fully recommended for a visit.
Located only five mins from the motorway junction, access is easy.
There is an Aire outside the site for motorhomes. However in Oct 17 when we visited, it was shut and being upgraded.
