Camping Moulin de Paulhiac
Approx 20Km South of Sarlat
This family orientated campsite was a super find with a great pool complex complete with three waterslides, cafe/bar/restaurant, shop, play area, etc. The site is large and a lot of the pitches are under the shade of the well established trees. However for the sun lovers the far end of the site by the river is more open. The pitches are of a generous size and are mainly lined with hedges. The toilet blocks are excellent and kept very clean. This site is out in the country and the nearest village is a couple of Km’s away. Sarlat (see link above) is the nearest big town and this is a stunning place. It has a well preserved medieval centre that is almost to good to be real (well worth a look). Like all French towns it has all the large shops you might require. The owner of the site is a very friendly man who was all to willing to help with advice on where to go, he even gave us a bottle of his own wine when we paid. The Dordogne river is about a ten minute drive away, canoe trips seem to be the main activity. A lovely place.
