This is a great little municipal site in a lovely location. It is set on the river Loiret, a tributary of the Loire. The river runs straight through the centre of the site with many pitches actually backing onto it. The pitches are of an adequate size with plenty of water taps. There are two toilet blocks both which are kept in a good clean order. Whilst we were there a “Churro and Waffle” man pithched up outside the gate in the evening with his mobile store. Thee is a tram station with free secure parking about half a mile from the site, the tram runs straight into the centre of Orleans which is well worth a visit. On market day which I think was a Sunday the whole of the town is taken over by market stalls selling everything from bric a brac to clothes to food, the receptionist at site said that there were 7 Km of market stalls in total. Orlean itself is worth a visit as it is a beautiful historic city. Be aware that this is a popular transit site and can suddenly fill up in the early evening. Fishing is possible from the pitches and we caught several Catfish in the evening. A pleasant transit site set in a quiet location that might well be worth a longer stay.
