Camping Sainte Claire
Rue La Grande Flandre
76270 Neufchatel En Bray
This could well be one of the finest motorhome Aires in the whole of France. It is only recently built and as far as I can see belongs to the neighbouring campsite, Camping Sainte Claire (see previous review). This purpose built space comes with hedge lined pitches, each one split into half hard standing and half grass. The site is secured by an automatic barrier system which is opened for exit once you have paid. The cost including electric is €12. In the site building is a washer and a drier so the ideal place to catch up on the laundry. Also there is a shower toilet (disabled) and a couple of urinals. The drive over drain is well designed and easily accessible.
Within a couple of minutes walk are Lidl, Aldi, LeClerc and MacDonald’s as well as clothes shops. The Route Verte is straight over the road from the entrance and forms part of the London Paris cycle Route. The town at Neufchatel is only a ten minute walk away and has all the normal commerce of a small town.
Neufchatel is located midway between Abbville and Rouen. And is less than two hours from the channel ports at Calais.
To summarise, although this costs, it is worth every penny. Great for that last minute wine shopping and great access top the channel ports.
