Croft Farm Water Park
We first visited there last year (2015) for our wedding anniversary in July. Many years ago we lived just down the road from here and there really wasn’t much to see at that time. But now it is different story. The centrepiece to the whole place is the lake and the water sports if now offers.
There is a great bar with a decking at the water’s edge that also offers food. The weekend that we were there, there was live music and a great night was had by all.
The touring pitches seemed to be in two locations. Adjacent to the entrance driveway or the better ones for me were at the bottom of the site on the opposite side of the lake. If you are really lucky there are even a few water side pitches, very nice.
On the lake there was wind surfing, sailing, canoeing, as well as the pedalos. It also seemed accepted to swim in the lake and there were many people taking an evening dip.
Tewkesbury is a decent walk away, turn right at the entrance on follow the road. In town you will find the Abbey which should not be missed as well as the usual array of hops that you would expect to find in a rural market town.
Also behind the site there was a Husky racing track, the people running this didn’t take kindly to walking our dog on the river by them so be warned. There was however a dog waling field by the site entrance that more than sufficed with plenty of room fro ball throwing. Vino was however disappointed, as a spaniel a swim in the river would have been a holiday highlight.
