Goochmass in the rain

Well here we are back with a new blog. I read a couple of books about blogging over Xmas and they both told me that the blog title was a crap title for a blog. So a new blog with the same old drivel was the order of the day. (you will still find all the old posts at the old address), go check it out.

Anyway back to the story. Those who know me will know that we always go away over Xmas for a break. This year we headed to Snowdonia, in particular we headed to Bala.

For those of you that don’t know Bala is the largest natural lake in Wales, and a beautiful place. We,with family and friends booked three cottages at “Cyffdy” in a village called Parc.

Cyffdy is a series of cottages created out of old stone farm buldings in a stunning hillside setting

Now Wales can be a wet place …. But in Snowdonia during December they had a metre of rain.

Now that is a lot.

Needless to say all of the many footpaths were water logged and waterproofs and wellies were the order of the day.

We went to Barmouth for the day and would thoroughly reccomend the Dolphin fish and chip shop, pucker grub.
