Nick’s Tips #7 – Breathalysers and France

Nick’s tip #7

Breatherlyser kit

When travelling in France it is compulsory to carry a breathalyser kit. The law changed on in July 2012. These are readily available in this country. They are stocked by Halfords and cost around £5. A n had a been only one year. They are also available at all ports as well as in the shops on ferries.

In some places it suggests that there is no fine for non compliance, however I will not be taking the chance. There are other items including a spare bulb kit, hi vis and red triangle that also need to be carried. Check out www.drive-france.com for full details.
