Tantallon, North Berwick, East Lothian. Nr Edinburgh, Scotland.
We booked this site a couple of weeks ago so we could visit the Scottish Seabird Centre. I for one am really pleased we did. Sat overlooking a golf course and the Forth of Firth this is a real gem.
A mixture of hard standing and grass pitches as well as generous number of statics this site is really well maintained.
It is located about a twenty minute walk out of town. And what a lovely town it is. The character of this small coastal town has been preserved. There are none of the tacky outlets that are so prevalent in so many places. Instead the whole town oozes an ambience that id very pleasant.
There are of course the normal Tesco and Aldi that will provide all the provisions that you need, but venture into town and you will not be disappointed.
The catch of the day in the small fishing harbour would seem to be lobster, there are a few outlets in the harbour area that seem to specialise in this local delicacy.
Further afield Edinburgh lies to the west and Dunbar to the East.
Give this one a try. I’m sure you will enjoy
